About Us

Established in 2006, Alto Film Productions is a Melbourne based production company that focusses on TV & film projects centred around entertainment, variety, the arts and magazine style shows.

The company produced its first pilot in 2006 upon request from Channel 9 (Sydney), after pitching a TV variety/ chat show concept.

The following year saw the premiere of the company’s first 13 week TV series, Sophie’s Wedding Guide, which screened in 2007 - 2008 on C31. The magazine style show offered useful information to plan a wedding, followed a reality couple planning their wedding, interviews with celebrities about their weddings, showcased musical entertainment and offered a $20,000 wedding prize.

Recognising the importance of creativity, individuality, presentation, reliability and excellence of product, Alto Film Productions is currently developing a number of projects.

Sophie Kesoglidis began her career as a viola player performing with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and as a presenter speaking at various arts events. In 2005 she began producing stage shows (Tango’s Violin, Unstrung Heroes) which have toured nationally performing at a variety of venues including
The Famous Spiegeltent and City Recital Hall (Sydney). With a strong interest in the role of the narrative and a desire to produce screen projects, Sophie launched Alto Film Productions. She has undertaken training at AFTRS, Open Channel, NIDA and attended SPAA Conference. With a performance background, Sophie has played on soundtracks of Red Dog; Sliding Doors; Young Talent Time; Cloudstreet; Beneath Hill 60; various TV commercials and performed on TV programs such as The Logies, This is Your Life, Young Talent Time, StarStruck and  AFL Grand Final (pre game entertainment).
Sophie is exploring new ways of presenting entertainment, arts and variety based programs as she develops new concepts.
